Tell us a little about you and your small business — Wild and Nowhere is my small business selling handmade polymer clay earrings. I like to play with colour and shape to create pieces that are eye-catching and work for any occasion – from going on a wild adventure to simply going nowhere.
What do you love about your small business? — I’ve always been into arts and crafts and the plan is to expand what is in the offer and have Wild and Nowhere become a great place to buy gifts – either for someone else or yourself! I have also loved being part of the maker’s community and getting to know others who make beautiful work in a range of materials!
What is your favourite thing(s) to make? — Earrings! Specifically, I like to make no waste one of a kind pieces by marbling scrap colours together.
Where do you make your items? — On my dining room table for now!
Where do you find inspiration? — I normally start with playing with colour and seeing where I go from there. Nature is a big inspiration too – the English Garden Collection features bright florals with a retro feel.
How did you come up with your small business name? — Coming up with a name was really difficult and I had about 30 that I toyed with! In the end, I went for Wild and Nowhere as I liked the connection with wild nature which is a great source of inspiration and the idea that you don’t need to be going anywhere special to wear a pair of earrings that make you smile.
Where can we find your work?
The main place to find my work is on Instagram where I post all my latest designs and some process shots.
