The Cairngorms are one of the most beautiful mountain ranges on the planet. Situated in the Scottish Highlands they are reknowned for their majestic peaks, vast forests and dark skies. People from all over the world travel there to experience nature and wildlife at its most abundant. It is a magical and unforgettable place where stags roam, eagles soar and mountains tower in complete harmony.
In creating this necklace I knew that it was going to be a statement piece to properly reflect the absolute majesty of the National Park. I started with the most exceptional piece of Labradorite, a gemstone heavily associated with the North, the ancient Norse believing that the Northern Lights were captured within. Around this Borealis sky I created a mountain range of copper and fringed the top with silver leaves.
To make this incredible pendant truly exceptional I made the reverse side a breathtaking nature scape allowing the beauty of the stone to be seen again. Mountains rise up into the starry skies whilst towering pines are populated with soaring eagles. I chosed to use sterling silver for this side so that those who are sensitive to copper may wear the piece against their skin without fear of irritation.
The necklace can be worn either side facing making it incredibly unique and versatile and comes complete with a sterling silver chain (other options are available).
This beautiful piece would be perfect for anyone who loves the beauty of the natural world, a free spirit or anyone who has a love of the Scottish Highlands. It would make an unforgettable gift that the recipient would treasure forever.
I consciously create pieces that I believe can be worn by all gender identities.
